Banner Engineering SLSE14-300Q8 is a safety light curtain designed for protective applications, part of the 14/30 series. This unit, functioning as an emitter alone, is constructed with an aluminium housing, acrylic lens, and die-cast zinc end caps. It features a pre-equipped 8-pin Euro-style M12 connector for connectivity. The device offers a protective height of 300mm and comes in a yellow housing. It operates on a 24Vdc supply voltage and can function within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. With an IP65 degree of protection, it is safeguarded against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. The SLSE14-300Q8 has a net width of 36mm and a net depth of 46mm. It is designed with a 14mm beam spacing/pitch, providing a resolution suitable for finger detection. The safety light curtain features 2 x digital outputs (24Vdc; 500mA; sourcing; redundant OSSD solid-state outputs), a sensing distance ranging from 10cm to 6m, and operates with an infrared light color at a wavelength of 850 nm. Its response time is 15ms / 0.015 s, ensuring timely activation of safety measures.
